BMC Approves Mega Underground Pedestrian Tunnel for Worli Hubs

Mumbai is set to get a major pedestrian upgrade with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) approving a 3.5 to 4-kilometer underground walkway. Built by the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) and funded by the BMC, the subterranean link will seamlessly connect the Nehru Science Centre Metro station (Line 3) to the Coastal Road and the upcoming Worli garden. Designed to boost pedestrian access and ease public transit, this strategic connector aims to transform how visitors and commuters reach Mumbai's newest coastal tourist hubs.
